The first of the 350 South Florida Webinar presentations will focus on self-care. We are all experiencing some anxiety and worries in differing degrees. Local mental health professionals will acknowledge and validate our concerns and provide different ways to cope with the stress.

 

Our Amazing Presenters:

• Nan Van Den Bergh, PhD, LCSW
Is a psychotherapist and Clinical Professor Emerita within the School of Social Work at Florida International University.
She has been trained to provide critical incident stress debriefing (CISD) for emergency response personnel as well as for employees of governmental and nonprofit organizations as well as businesses.
She has authored several publications and offered conference presentations on methods of preventing and reducing stress-induced mental health symptoms.

• Catherine de León, MSW, LCSW.
She has had previous extensive experience in providing therapy and managing community mental health clinics in recent immigrant communities. Currently, she is the Disaster Mental Health Program Lead for the American Red Cross, South Florida Region.
